New Music Wednesday.
People. I found iTunes. I got an iPod for graduation and have been loading all of our CDs on to the thing. I have gotten bored though and wanted to ignore the CDs for a while and play on the internet super highway. So I started to buy songs. They are so cheap and I get to pick and choose! Currently I have purchased 4 Keith Urban songs because frankly he is delicious and I was missing some of the good ones from his first albums. I also purchased Howie Day’s ‘Collide’ and Better than Ezra’s ‘Juicy’. The Juicy song is so freaking addictive and I jump around the house singing. I knew I had done it justice when Matt all of the sudden in bed last night starts belting the “ah uh ah ah” parts in the song and I just laid there in a giggly mess. Love it.
I also had a birthday here a few weeks back. I ignore them as much as possible, mostly because I fear dying and by aging I am closer to dying. I know. Sick. Morbid. Gross. But in getting over that I got some new CDs. The first is a classic that I needed to add to my list – New Edition’s Greatest Hits – how can you not love Mr. Telephone Man? Cool it Down? HELLO, shouldn’t the 80’s boy band classic be in a boy band lover’s collection? Second – The All-American Reject’s CD Move Along. It should be known that I do keep Dirty Little Secrets and I am not known for being able to Move Along. But I love them. They are a great alternative band with some good hooks.
Next on this list – Jessica Simpson’s Public Affair, and Panic At the Disco’s new song, which has a long name like ‘I write the songs not the tragedies’ but I know that is wrong and I can’t remember it for the life of me. But it is good. Real good.
